ABC Cargo & Courier UK Street Lamp Campaign Terms and Conditions
These promotional terms apply to the ABC Cargo & Courier UK street-lamp campaign advertising GBP 2.99/kg. By making a booking under this promotion, the customer agrees to these promotional terms together with ABC Cargo & Courier UK standard shipment terms and conditions.
1. Promoter
This promotion is operated by ABC Cargo & Courier UK Limited (“ABC Cargo”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
2. Promotion Period
This offer is valid from 14 April 2026 until it is withdrawn, amended, suspended, or replaced by ABC Cargo.
3. Eligible Service and Route
The GBP 2.99/kg promotional rate applies only to Express Air shipments from the UK to India, and only within selected service areas, branches, and postcodes as determined by ABC Cargo.
This promotional rate is only available for shipments dropped off at our warehouse. It does not apply to door collection shipments unless expressly confirmed otherwise by ABC Cargo.
4. Offer Eligibility
This offer applies only to customers who complete a valid booking, provide accurate shipment details, provide all required sender and receiver documents, and comply with all applicable customs, carrier, and legal requirements.
5. Nature of Goods Eligible for Promotional Rate
The GBP 2.99/kg rate is intended only for normal household items, such as clothing, shoes, utensils, and similar personal effects.
This rate does not automatically apply to high-value items, electronic items, items likely to attract higher customs duties, or restricted or specially handled goods.
Such items may be charged at different rates depending on the nature of the goods being sent. Customers should confirm the applicable rate with ABC Cargo before booking.
6. Chargeable Weight and Billable Weight
All shipments are charged based on the higher of the actual gross weight or the volumetric weight. Volumetric weight is calculated as: Length (cm) x Width (cm) x Height (cm) / 5000.
Example 1: A box measuring 50 cm x 40 cm x 30 cm gives 50 x 40 x 30 = 60,000. 60,000 / 5000 = 12 kg. If the actual weight is 10 kg, the billable weight will be 12 kg.
Example 2: If the same box has an actual weight of 15 kg, the billable weight will be 15 kg, because the actual weight is higher than the volumetric weight.
A minimum billable weight may apply and will be confirmed at booking.
7. Handling Charges
A handling charge of GBP 10 per box applies in addition to the GBP 2.99/kg freight charge.
8. Packing Charges
Packing by ABC Cargo is charged separately.
A packing charge of GBP 10 per box applies where the box is packed by our team. This includes supply of a suitable standard box.
For special packing requirements, including bubble wrap, foam packing, wooden packing, or other protective or specialist packing, additional packing charges will apply.
Customers should check packing charges with the sales agent before booking.
9. Customer-Packed Shipments
Where packing is done by the customer, cargo-appropriate boxes and packing materials must be used.
Customers should contact ABC Cargo for guidance on cargo-suitable boxes and packing standards before packing their shipment. ABC Cargo reserves the right to refuse or re-pack any parcel that is not packed to an acceptable transport standard, and additional charges may apply.
10. Collection and Door Service
The advertised GBP 2.99/kg promotional rate applies to warehouse drop-off shipments only.
Where collection or door service is requested, collection availability depends on selected postcodes, and same-day collection is subject to driver availability, routing, and operational capacity.
While ABC Cargo aims to accommodate same-day requests where possible, some collections may only be arranged for the next day.
Additional collection or door service charges may apply.
11. Additional Charges
The GBP 2.99/kg promotional rate does not include all possible charges. Additional charges may apply where relevant, including but not limited to handling charges, packing and material charges, collection and door service charges, remote area surcharges, customs duty, VAT, tax, customs clearance fees, destination handling charges, special handling charges, and charges relating to restricted, prohibited, non- compliant, high-value, or electronic items.
12. Customs, Duty, and Duty-Free Shipments
Any customs duty, tax, penalty, inspection fee, storage charge, customs clearance charge, or other authority-imposed fee is payable by the sender or receiver, as applicable.
Customs assessments and decisions are outside ABC Cargo’s control.
Any duty-free shipment offering applies only to shipments to India, subject to customs rules and eligibility. High-value items may not qualify, and the price per kg may vary depending on the type and value of goods being shipped.
13. Insurance
ABC Cargo does not provide insurance for shipments unless expressly agreed in writing.
Customers sending valuable goods do so at their own risk and should make their own insurance arrangements where required.
14. Prohibited and Restricted Goods
Dangerous, illegal, prohibited, or restricted goods are not accepted.
ABC Cargo may refuse, hold, return, or dispose of non-compliant shipments in accordance with applicable law, customs requirements, and carrier policy. Additional charges arising from such goods may be payable by the customer.
15. Delivery and Transit Times
Any delivery or transit time stated by ABC Cargo is an estimate only and is not guaranteed. Transit times are calculated from the date of dispatch, not from the date of booking.
Delays may occur due to customs processing, airline schedules, weather, security checks, operational issues, or other matters outside ABC Cargo’s control.
16. Worldwide Door-to-Door Services
ABC Cargo may offer worldwide door-to-door services. However, some countries may be excluded due to difficult, restricted, or uncertain customs procedures.
For certain destinations, service may be offered without customs clearance, or subject to destination- specific limitations.
Destination restrictions and available service scope will be advised to the customer before or at booking where applicable.
17. Payment
Full payment is required before dispatch unless otherwise agreed by ABC Cargo in writing.
18. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation and refund requests are subject to shipment status, carrier rules, incurred charges, and applicable law.
Where boxes have been dropped off, collected, booking processed, or ABC Cargo is already in possession of the parcel, the following cancellation charges apply: GBP 50 or 30% of the invoice value, whichever is higher.
For invoices with a total invoice value of less than GBP 50, 100% of the invoice value will be payable upon cancellation.
Any packing, documentation, handling, collection, or other charges already incurred may also be deducted or remain payable.
19. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Subject to that, ABC Cargo does not accept liability for damage unless otherwise required by law or expressly accepted in writing.
Any liability that does arise shall be limited in accordance with ABC Cargo standard shipment terms and applicable carrier conventions.
20. Abuse, Misuse, and Fraud
ABC Cargo may cancel bookings, refuse service, or deny use of this offer where ABC Cargo reasonably suspects misuse or abuse of the promotion, false declarations, duplicate misuse, fraudulent conduct, or unlawful activity.
21. Offer Changes
ABC Cargo may amend, suspend, or withdraw this promotion without prior notice where reasonably necessary for legal, regulatory, operational, or commercial reasons.
22. Relationship with Standard Shipping Terms
These promotional terms apply only to this campaign and must be read together with ABC Cargo standard shipment terms and conditions. In the event of inconsistency, these promotional terms shall apply only to the extent of the promotion-specific offer, and the standard shipment terms shall otherwise continue to apply.
